Tataki (striking) chisels.

Designed for heavy duty work, these chisels appear similar to the well known 'oire-nomi' or 'regular chisels', but are bigger and heavier in every dimension, aside from the designated width.

Available in 3 styles, Chu-tataki (medium-striking), Tataki Chu-usu (striking medium-thin) and Tataki/Atsu (striking/thick), all are designed for excavating wood and differ only in overall size and weight, from smallest and lightest to largest and heaviest.

Available only in Yasuki white steel and with a choice of akagashi (red oak) or cored shiragashi (white oak) handles and the usual Koyamaichi hoop style options.
