"Meigoryoumo" is, to be honest, a bit of a quandary to explain, being comprised of a string of contradictions...
Literally translating as 'wonder andunderstanding-both forgotten' we've chosen "Enlightenment" for this one, as a Zen-esque way of explaining that when both wonder and understanding are both conquered and subsequently forgotten, true enlightenment must be the answer.
And in this case, however complicated the name might be, this kanna is a classic example of the tool, almost a cliche in its specifics. Super Blue Steel laminated to kamaji with a mokume finish, it ticks all the boxes for a classic, premium performance and appearance kanna and is suitable for use with all woods.
The dai features a closed tsutsumi style mouth opening in shiragashi (Japanese white oak).
