A precision straight edge suitable for any purpose where a true, straight edge is required such as checking tool surfaces, work surfaces and the like. Includes a small notch to allow clearance for the blade when checking plane soles for straightness and relief clearance in the case of kanna.

Hardened and tempered for long lasting accuracy, adjusted for straightness and flatness by hand.
