Hi all,
I’ll start off here by saying that by now, there should have been some nice new things to look at in the store, and maybe some pictures here in the web-log as well.
There are not, because I have been incapable of doing it.
You might ask “Why is this so”? After all, I’ve gotten this far . . . → Read More: A cautionary tale…

Hi all,
Long time between drinks, isn’t it?
I thought I should explain why the lack of detail, lack of content, lack of effort and lack of this lackie has occured…
This past month has been very much a roller coaster ride for us here, from the lowest of lows to a few heady highs, and as I sit . . . → Read More: The good with the bad…

Hi Faithful reader again,
I would like to let you all know that Tom is home, and has been home the last few days. They kept him in hospital for 4 night, the last one being just a precaution.
He is still not well though, having picked up a cough that is slowly going the way of the . . . → Read More: Update, it still a little person(al)…

Hi faithful reader.
I don’t know how many of you are out there, but thanks for coming back again and again to my mad flurries of activity interspersed with dearths of silence.
It must be trying…
I just want to apologise for not getting some things up here that I had hoped would be done and dusted by now. . . . → Read More: An update, it’s a little person(al)…

You may remember that the home centre close to my workshop, called Nakai closed it’s doors and was to re-open as a store named ‘Decor’.
I was worried because of the soft sounding name, and today I got to visit.
After 5 minutes, I was bitterly, crushingly, devastatingly disappointed.
My worst fears were realized, and I found some new . . . → Read More: Hmm… (with rising intonation!)

(Sorry for my absence, summer is always a super busy time, and with my still plugging things into the store, something has gotta give and this place is it.)
Well, I don’t really, but it seems I like to follow trouble…
If you don’t already know, my ‘real’ job is to teach conversational English to the locals. It’s . . . → Read More: I love trouble!

Well, I think it is anyway.
Who or what is Nakai?
It’s the closest home centre to my workshop, and it is (I think) closing down. I drove by on Wednesday and saw the parking lot full of cars, and I suspected something was up but I didn’t stop because 1: it was raining and 2: I was . . . → Read More: Bye Bye Nakai…

Nothing really significant that ‘worked’ per se, just a few little things here and there that seem to have gone quite well.
Firstly, logging into here I was met with 2 canned ham messages and nothing frivolous. It would seem that vigilantly blocking IP addresses and limiting postings to old blog entries killed that kinda activity pretty . . . → Read More: That worked…

I just noticed that the door epic is not yet complete. I better fix that while I have a chance.
(Why do I have a chance? I am waiting for a new to me computer to arrive so I can get stuck into the online store stuff on a computer that is more up to the task. . . . → Read More: Am I door-ing you?

Yawn. Something I do when I am tired or unimpressed.
I am both at the moment. Tired because I am effectively doing 3 jobs at the moment. Doing my regular teaching of English, playing stay at home dad when I am not teaching English and then when those two are done I am doing everything I can . . . → Read More: Yawn. Scratch. Type, type, type…
