We here at Tools from Japan want to hear your feedback and questions, so please do not hesitate to drop us an email using the form below.
Our privacy policy mandates that all correspondence you send to us, stays with us.
Thanks, and we hope to hear from you soon.
If you are enquiring about an existing order that may or may not have yet shipped, please read the following link;
Existing order information.
Please note; We are always exceptionally busy here, and may not be able to respond to your email in a timely manner. If you require an answer quickly, please make a note of that and I will try to answer your questions as quickly as possible. Simple questions are usually answered very quickly. Emails that require a more detailed answer will take some time to reply to, so I must ask for your patience.
Due to the limited time I have available to process orders and answer questions, orders actually placed will always take precedence. This may result in an enquiry being unanswered for an extended period. It is always frustrating to be unable to answer all emails quickly, but please understand that it not because I do not wish to answer them, but because the time to do so is simply not available. (Sorry!)
This includes enquries about placed orders that have not yet shipped. In many cases I get asked about orders that are being processed, and the problem is that answering these emails takes time that I might be able to better use to get the order on it's way. If you must have an update about the status of your order please make my life a little easier and less stressful and read the terms and conditions of the store and the faq. Then, if you still must have an update please include the order number, which will be a 4 digit number (#****) issued by the store software. This will let me find your order in seconds. Any details other than the order number issued by the store you send with an update request requires me to search for your order, which in some cases takes a little time, in some cases much longer, but always with added stress and frustration as I need to pick your order from several thousand and cross check (name, date, transaction id, etc.) to confirm it's the correct one. It really does make my life a lot easier, and I don't ask for that single, simple number arbitrarily.
Also please understand that the store is designed and intended to take orders, and to also permit you to calculate the shipping cost before you place your order and in several widley used currencies. Simply place the items you wish to order into the shopping cart, select your location at the bottom of the shopping cart page and click 'Update' and you will be given an accurate estimate of the maximum shipping cost for the items in the shopping cart. The select an alternative currency, there is a drop box on the left side menu that will adjust all values to whichever currency you wish to use. The default currency is Japanese yen, and all alternative currencies are converted from that and adjusted daily.
Adding an item or items to a recently placed order is possible, however do know that international shipping is ALL about weight, and anything that adds weight to a parcel adds to the cost of shipping. Adding a small item may not cost any extra, but nearly any addition will cause the total shipping cost to be more than the original order. As we only charge the actual cost of shipping (and in cases where the cost paid is more than the actual cost, we always refund the extra) the 'shipping department' is not a profit making department, so please understand that adding an item to an order also adds to the shipping cost. As such, it is usually a better idea to place an additional order (with all address details repeated) and a note to combine with an existing order, if possible. If doing so will save on shipping costs, this money will be refunded to you when the order is shipped. Most commonly the shipping estimator is quite accurate and the shipping paid is the actual cost of shipping.
Thank you for your consideration,
